Taking a Short Break
Guess what! I truly surprised myself by actually blogging daily for 6 months straight. I didn’t think I would last this long. But now I feel a bit tapped out and I need a short break. By short, I mean a week or two.
I’ve always had big ebbs and flows when it comes to being creative. This ebb started when I came across a YouTube that asked If You Weren’t Trying to Impress Anyone, What Would You Make?
This question has been sloshing around in my mind for a couple weeks now. When my mind fixates on a problem, I know it’s time to pay attention.
The answers have been slow in coming, but many are starting to show up. That’s why I know this blogging hiatus will be short-lived.
In the meantime, I’d like to highlight a few blog posts from a while ago. These posts have something in common. They all represent important a-ha moments in my life.
When I was six years old, I Watched The Dick Van Dyke Show and was inspired by the thought of having a creative job.
When I was in high school, there was A Utility Closet That Changed My Life. Really!
And recently I was introduced to a concept called mono no aware (物の哀れ) and found its beauty at Metson Lake.
Have a great week and stay creative!
