What Is The Kindest Thing You Can Do For Yourself Right Now?
I’m trying to break the habit of reaching for YouTube or Instagram when I take work breaks. So I created a series of prompts to ask myself whenever the urge strikes. I’m hoping that this becomes a nice substitute and one that I look forward to when my mind needs a change in thoughts.
Some of the prompts:
– What’s one thing I’m grateful for that I usually overlook?
– What act of creativity would you do if you had 30 or more minutes?
– What’s an image, word, or phrase that feels like joy today?
Today I picked up this one: What’s the kindest thing you can do for yourself right now?
It took me a few moments to think, but eventually I came up with meditate. Sometimes it’s nice to let the mind rest and not think.
So that’s what I did. It felt good.
