Presence. Process. Pleasure.

You sit down at your studio table to create. But first, you have to be here fully. But distractions start to pull at you, like notifications, obligations, self-doubt.

As much as you can, ignore them! Your creativity needs your presence.

Just make a mark. The moment you tune in, everything shifts. It’s in the scratch of a pencil, the stroke of a brush, or the rhythm of words on a page. Let the moment guide your hand.

Yes you will feel the uncertainty. You ask, Will this turn out how I imagined?

Here’s what’s important: It doesn’t matter!

Focusing on the outcome kills the process. It paralyzes you. You are no longer present. You’re imagining others talking about you, or judging you, or giggling at you.

So don’t do it! Dismiss those thoughts. Let them float away like a cloud in the sky.

Creativity isn’t about getting it right. It’s about showing up, making marks, and following ideas. Let the marks and ideas surprise you.

When you stop worrying about the outcome, you experiment more. You play more. And that’s when the real magic happens.

The more you let go of everything else and just sink in to the creative process, the more you enjoy it. The mixing of colors. The unexpected textures. A shape you didn’t plan.

Even the struggle becomes part of it. It’s something to lean into, not fight against.

You’re not just making something. You’re inside it and lost in it. That’s the whole point.

And when you finish, you realize, it was never about the piece. It was about being in the flow and just creating.

And you’ll come back to the table again and again, because you realize that this is where creativity lives and where you thrive.
