I love miniatures and I wanted to try painting a waterlily in the style of Claude Monet. I found out that you can get gold-colored dollhouse picture frames, so that was my impetus to get started. I used acrylics instead of oil, but I think it turned out rather nicely. The stand is made from square toothpicks.
