I don’t like the phrase “Find your tribe”
I don’t like the phrase Find your tribe. I also don’t like the term like-minded. We have too much tribalism in the world today.
I prefer to surround myself with like-hearted people. People that accept you as you are, regardless of their interests. There is nothing wrong with being interested in different things. It’s about being kind and curious.
Curiosity becomes our shared language. Kindness, our common ground. This means celebrating diverse interests without feeling the need to adopt them. It means listening to understand, not to respond or convert. It’s about recognizing that someone’s path can be beautifully different from yours, valuing the person over their opinions or achievements, and creating emotional safety where vulnerability is welcome.
The invitation is simple: Surround yourself with people who expand your world, not shrink it. Who challenge you gently, who see your complexity, who make you feel both accepted and inspired to grow.
In a world hungry for genuine connection, be the space where differences are not just tolerated, but treasured.
