From Beach to Model Railroad

One of my favorite pastimes is to go fishing early in the morning at the beach at Crissy Field. I try to go at least twice a week before work during the spring and summer. One day I noticed a bunch of plastic litter up above the surf zone. I assume these discarded bits and pieces came down the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers and then deposited themselves here in the sand.

When you are fishing you have a lot of time to tinker inside your head, so one day I came up idea of what to do. With just a bit of cutting and painting and tinkering, I created a unique load for one of my railroad cars.

4 minutes. Enjoy.
